To Whom It May Concern:I consider myself to be very fortunate in knowing that my own personal piano is under the watchful and talented hands of George Kolasis. His dedication and concern is displayed in the incredible sound that my instrument has in his care. I can only stress here that his talent for bringing out the individual characteristics of an instrument is absolutely amazing.
Apart from being a friend of George Kolasis, I consider him a genius with pianos.
Respectfully yours,
Oscar E. Peterson, CC., LL.D., D. Mus.

Mr. George Kolasis... has been with our company since April 10, 1978 and will leave us today, as he wants to return to his home country, Canada.During his time in our company Mr. Kolasis has become very familiar with all kinds of work in connection with maintenance, service and repair of grand and upright pianos. He was finally specialized in regulation, concert service and voicing. In this kind of work he really belongs to the top people all around the world.
He worked with many famous artists both in Austria and abroad and everybody was full of praise for his work. For our company he made a number of service tours through Great Britain, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland and Canada.
Mr. Kolasis also made many recordings with famous pianists and he also specialized in the work with our computer supported piano.
We are very sorry that Mr. Kolasis will leave us and wish him all the best for his future career.

To Whom It May Concern:As Interim Dean of the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music, it is an honor and my pleasure to write a letter of support on behalf of George Kolasis.
Mr. Kolasis, for many years, has acted as a master technician and tuner for The Royal Conservatory's finest concert pianos. This collection, as part of the RCM Musical Instrument Bank, has been maintained on an active and scheduled basis, as well as on a per request basis, as concert demands for the instruments create the need for flexible and, on numerous occasions, extra maintenance. As concert instruments, they rank alongside some of the most excellent concert instruments on the stages of the best halls in the world.
The quality and care of Mr. Kolasis's work is exemplary. He is widely considered to be one of the finest technicians in Canada and has, over the course of his career, maintained instruments for major international performing artists as well as for some of the greatest schools and concert halls in Europe. His dedication to excellence is well-known, as is his superior commitment to deriving the best from any given instrumental task and challenge.
The Royal Conservatory of Music is, indeed, fortunate to have Mr. Kolasis working on its behalf. He gives our master artist/teachers reassurance that their needs and wishes are always considered and met. He is a major influence on the standard and perception of standard projected by the School. His opinion is of great importance and his prowess a significant indicator of the excellence and world-class standard of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
I give him my unreserved support and commendation.
Most Sincerely,
David Visentin

To Whom It May Concern:We are delighted to write this letter of recommendation to Mr. George Kolasis, who has been associated with our firm as piano technician ever since his return to Canada 4 years ago.
Mr. Kolasis' abilities were originally brought to our attention through the high recommendation of Dr. Roland Radler, managing director of Bösendorfer, Vienna. Upon Mr. Kolasis' decision to reside in Montreal, we were pleased to be able to enlist his services at regular intervals, for specialized work on pianos which require high level technical attention. He has handled special service assignments for our company at concert halls, institutions, at the home of distinguished artists, including Dr. Oscar Peterson, and has been charged with the maintenance of our own Steinway Concert and Artist fleet. He has carried these out to complete satisfaction.
Mr. Kolasis ranks amongst the best piano technicians in Canada, and his capabilities demonstrate the invaluable experience gained through association with the industry's highest caliber craftsmen during his years in Austria with Bösendorfer. His voicing and regulating skills are outstanding. We can add, that George has a pleasant, tactful manner and way of dealing with people.
Mr. Kolasis' work speaks for itself. Still, we are pleased to recommend him as a top-notch piano technician / tuner to any individual or institution requiring an excellent standard of work.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Remenyi
